In this battle between the two worse squads of each conference, the last in the West Las Vegas Aces (12-17), who have lost four straight and looking to bounce back, are hosting the last in the East Indiana Fever (5-25), who want to end yet another small losing streak.

Date/Time: 08-11-2018 22:30 EDT

Spread: Las Vegas Aces -10.5

Total: +167

Las Vegas Aces have a 12-17 record (14-15 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the last place of the Western Conference. They have four consecutive losses and in their last game they lost at home against the Minnesota Lynx with a 73-89 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by A’ja Wilson with 20.3 ppg, adding a team high 8.2 boards per game. She is followed by Kayla McBride with 18.7 ppg, 4 boards and 3.2 dimes per game, while Tamera Young adds 10.1 ppg and 5 boards per game.

Indiana Fever have a 5-25 record (11-19 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the last place of the Eastern Conference and of the whole league. They have back-to-back losses and in their last game they lost on the road against the Phoenix Mercury with a 74-94 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Candice Dupree with 13.8 ppg, adding 6.5 boards per game. She is followed by Kelsey Mitchell with 13.1 ppg, while Cappie Pondexter adds 10.7 ppg and 2.6 dimes per game.

Las Vegas has won both previous meetings against Indiana this season (at home by 14 points and on the road by 9 in overtime). Las Vegas are 6-8 at home this season, while Indiana are 3-12 on the road. Indiana have the worse offense in the league with 75.4 ppg to Las Vegas’ 83.4, while both teams have almost identical defenses, allowing 85 and 85.3 ppg. Las Vegas have better percentages both in field goals (43.3% to 40.9%) and in 3-pointers (34.3% to 32.2%). They are also better both in rebounding (37.5 to 32.3) and in assists made (20 to 15.6), while Indiana are only better in turnovers committed (12.7 to 13.2). Las Vegas are the absolute favorite in this game and Vegas odds give them a -10.5 spread but don’t expect them to beat the odds as they have been struggling lately and Indiana will force a closer game than that.

Indiana Fever vs Las Vegas Aces Prediction: Indiana Fever +10.5 (-112)
