Sunday Night Football on NBC finds the Detroit Lions (3-3) hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2). Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Sunday Night Football Props: Steelers at Lions.

Behind the improved play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger the Steelers (-3, 44.5) have won two straight. After throwing five interceptions in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars at Heinz Field the Pittsburgh quarterback has engineered victories over Kansas City and Cincinnati.

Detroit is coming off a bye week but still have some injuries concerns with their receiving corp. However, Golden Tate returned to practice this week after missing action to a shoulder injury. Rookie Kenny Golladay has been slowed by a hamstring injury but is expected to be active and play tonight against the Steel Curtain.

Most relevant quarterback Matthew Stafford is past hamstring and ankle injuries and told that he was physically and mentally refreshed with last week’s bye.

Steelers Injury Report
Marcus Gilbert (hamstring) OT / Out
Vance McDonald (knee) TE / Out
Stephon Tuitt (back) DE / Out

Lions Injury Report
Emmett Cleary (ankle) OT / Out
Greg Robinson (ankle) OT / Out

In Pittsburgh’s two losses this year they suffered offensive lapses, against the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars. As a result the defense recorded excessive minutes on the field and in those losses the unit surrendered over 200 yards rushing in each defeat.

Additionally the Lions sport the NFL’s 26th-ranked rushing offense at just 84 yards per game. Consequently look for running back Ameer Abdullah to receive a heavy work load tonight against a Steelers defense that is suspect against the run.
