The NY Red Bulls recorded a massive win against Sporting Kansas City at home last week. They will now remain at home for their next assignment, where they will play host to New England Revolution on Saturday. New England are coming off a tough elimination in the quarter-finals of the US Open Cup. They might be carrying some disappointment and fatigue into this match.

Spread: New England Revolution +1.25

Total: 3 Goals

The NY Red Bulls (11-5-2) played a really passionate match against the visiting Sporting Kansas City last week. They took an early lead at the 4th minute with Wright-Phillips, but were down by 2-1 at the start of the second half. However, Marc Rzatkowski entered the match at the 60th minute and scored twice in order to give the Red Bulls a nice 2-3 win. They have now won four of their last six, but keeping a single clean sheet in the process. The Red Bulls are now sitting at the 3rd spot of the Eastern Conference with 35 points. They are six points behind Conference leaders Atlanta who have played three more matches. Moreover, the Red Bulls have been excellent at home so far (7-1-1), having won each of their last four.

On the other hand, New England Revolution (7-6-7) are coming off a really frustrating 1-2 loss on the road against Minnesota United. The two teams were clashing in the quarter-finals of the US Open Cup, and Minnesota made an excellent start. They took an early lead and were leading by two at the end of the first half. Even though New England scored at the start of the second, they were unable to change the result. They have been in really bad form lately, having won just once in their last seven (1-3-3). New England are now sitting at the 5th spot of the Eastern Conference with 28 points, seven behind the Red Bulls. They have not been very good on the road (1-3-4), having conceded at least twice in six of their last seven.

The two teams have already met once earlier in the season, when New England won by 1-2 at home. However, the Red Bulls had won each of the previous four. Furthermore, the Red Bulls have been excellent as hosts against New England in the past decade, having lost just once (9-1-4).

The Red Bulls are coming off a strong win, and have had a whole week to rest. New England will surely be disappointed and tired from their US Open Cup loss against Minnesota United. They might be able to score once here, as they have only failed to score once on the road. The Red Bulls will probably take this win, but I will go with the Over 3 Goals here for extra safety.
