Two Western Conference teams sitting outside the playoff spots are clashing tonight, when the Sacramento Kings (13-27), looking to end a small losing streak, are hosting the Los Angeles Clippers (19-21), who want to extend a small winning streak of their own.

Date/Time:  01-11-2018, 22:00 EDT

Spread: Sacramento Kings -1.5

Total: +212.5

Kings have a 13-27 record (16-21-3 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the last place of the West. They have lost five of their last six matches and in their last game they lost on the road against the Lakers with an 86-99 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Zach Randolph with 14.9 ppg, adding a team high 7 rebounds per game. He is followed by Buddy Hield with 12.3 ppg, while Willie Cauley-Stein adds 11.7 ppg and 6.3 rebounds.

Clippers have a 19-21 record (21-18-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the 9th place of the West. They have back-to-back wins and in their last game they won on the road against the Warriors with a 125-106 score, beating the odds. They are led in scoring by Lou Williams with 22.9 ppg, adding 4.9 assists per game. He is followed by Blake Griffin with 22.8 ppg, adding 7.5 rebounds and a team high 5.2 assists per game.

Clippers won both previous meetings against the Kings earlier this season (by 27 points at home and by 2 on the road). Kings are 7-12 at home so far this season, while Clippers are 8-12 on the road. Clippers are better offensively, scoring 106.5 ppg to Kings’ league-low of 97.4, while Kings are better defensively, allowing 106 ppg to Clippers’ 106.7. Clippers have a better field goal percentage, shooting with 45.6% to Kings’ 44.8%, while Kings have a better 3-point percentage, shooting with a second-best of 38.1% to Clippers’ 35.7%. Clippers are better in rebounding, grabbing 43.6 to Kings’ third-worse of 40.3 and in assists made, with 21 to Kings’ second-worse of 20.6, while Kings are better in turnovers committed (14.3 to 14.9). Kings have been extremely unstable throughout the season and Vegas odds give them a -1.5 spread but don’t expect them to beat the odds and pick Clippers for the road win tonight.
