There are several substantial reasons that the oddsmakers have placed the New England Patriots as the team to back in 2017-18, as both the franchise to register the most regular season wins, and the squad to find their way to Super Bowl LII, in February of 2018. The last time the Patriots didn’t claim the American Football Conference East Division title was in 2008 when quarterback Tom Brady injured his ACL on opening day.
Outside of that injury to Brady and the 2008 club New England has won the AFC East each and every season since 2002. The latest Las Vegas SuperBook update to their 2017 Regular Season Wins chart has listed the Pats as the most likely team to have the most regular season wins (12.5) in 2017. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the that has the second largest win total. In the National Football Conference the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers both come in with an updated 10.5 games.
The aforementioned four teams, New England, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Green Bay are the only four that are projected to approach double-digit wins. The AFC New York Jets are listed with the least number of wins on the WestGate chart with just 3.5 while the smallest win total in the NFC comes via the Chicago Bears at 5.5.
