A high-caliber Eastern duel between the second and the third best teams of the conference takes place tonight, when the Toronto Raptors (28-11), are hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers (26-14), with both teams coming off defeats in their latest matchups and looking to bounce back.

Date/Time:  01-11-2018, 20:00 EDT

Spread: Toronto Raptors +4

Total: +218.5

Raptors have a 28-11 record (22-17 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit on the second place of the East. In their last game they saw a five-game winning streak getting snapped by losing at home against the Heat with an 89-90 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by DeMar DeRozan with 25.3 ppg, adding 4.3 rebounds and 5 assists per game. He is followed by Kyle Lowry with 16.2 ppg, 6.1 rebounds and a team high 7 assists per game. Serge Ibaka adds 13.8 ppg and 6.2 rebounds.

Cavaliers have a 26-14 record (12-27-1 against the spread) so far this season and currently sit in the third place of the East. They have lost five of their last seven matches and in their last game they lost on the road against the Timberwolves with a 99-127 score, not beating the odds. They are led in scoring by LeBron James with 27.2 ppg, adding 8.2 rebounds and a team high 9 assists per game. He is followed by Kevin Love with 19.4 ppg and a team high 9.6 rebounds per game.

In their eight meetings last season, Cavaliers led the Raptors 7-1 wins including a 4-1 playoff series. Raptors are 14-2 at home so far this season, while Cavs are 11-10 on the road. Raptors are better both offensively, scoring a third-best 111.5 ppg to Cavs’ 110.2 and defensively, allowing 103.8 ppg to Cavs’ 108.2. Cavs on the other hand have better percentages both in field goals, shooting with 47.5% to Raptors’ 47.1% and in 3-pointers, shooting with 37.9% to Raptors’ 35.1%. Raptors are better in rebounding, grabbing 42.7 to Cavs’ 41.8 and in turnovers committed (13.6 to 14.4), while Cavs are better in assists made (23.5 to 22.6). Cavs are struggling lately and Raptors have been one of the best home teams in the league so far. Vegas odds give Cavs a -4 spread but don’t expect them to beat the odds so pick Raptors in this one.
