With last season’s finalists and fourth-seeded Cavaliers (50-32) being down 2-0 wins after losing both road games by an average of 19 points, the series moves to Cleveland for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals as they are hosting the second-seeded Boston Celtics (55-27) and they are desperate their first win in the series.  Boston Celtics vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game 3 Spread and Prediction.

Date/Time:  05-19-2018, 20:30 EDT

Spread: Cleveland Cavaliers -6.5

Total: +205

Cleveland finished the regular season with a 50-32 record (32-49-1 against the spread). They were placed fourth in the East and they have back-to-back losses. They are led in scoring by LeBron James with 33.4 ppg, adding 9.2 boards per game and a team high 9.2 dimes per game. He is followed by Kevin Love with 15.5 ppg and a team high 10.3 boards per game.

Boston finished the regular season with a 54-26 record (50-30-2 against the spread). They were placed second in the East and they have won seven of their last eight matches. They are led in scoring by Jayson Tatum with 18.1 ppg, adding 4.5 boards per game. He is followed by Jaylen Brown with 17.8 ppg and 5.2 boards, while Terry Rozier adds 17.4 ppg, 5.6 boards and a team high 5.6 dimes per game.

In game 2 on Tuesday, the Cavaliers led by LeBron managed to get a 7-point lead in the first half but the Celtics chocked them defensively in the second and held them into just 39 points in that span, while they scored 59 themselves and got away with a second straight 107-94 home victory that gives them the 2-0 lead in the series. Six Celtics players were in double digit scoring while LeBron had 42 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists but had little help expect for Kevin Love (22 points, 15 rebounds).

Celtics lead the Cavs 3-2 wins this season and in the only Cleveland game, the Cavs won with a 102-88 score. Cavs are 34-13 at home, while Celtics are 28-17 on the road. Celtics are better both offensively, scoring 104.6 ppg to Cavs’ 101.2 and defensively, allowing a second-best of 100.5 ppg to Cavs’ 102.8. Cavaliers have a better field goal percentage (45.8% to 45%), while Celtics have a better 3-point percentage (35.8% to 33.6%). Celtics are better in rebounding (43.1 to 39.1), in assists made (21.8 to 19.5) and in turnovers committed (11.9 to 12.2). Cavs are desperate for this win in order to avoid a disastrous 3-0 Celtics lead. Vegas odds give them a -6.5 spread and expect them to beat the odds tonight.
