Free Horse Racing Picks: Gulfstream Park for March 4, 2016:

Race 1-

7- Toh’s Grey Cat (3/1 ML) This horse has been an enigma, but Zayas will be in the irons today and has he hit the board in his only two rides on this one.

1- Dangerous Brew (6/1 ML) This six-year-old gelding hasn’t won since 2014, but has a knack for hitting the board which he’s done in 16 or 23 career starts

6- Main Man Mike (5/1 ML) is trying this level for the first time today and he should be able to run with this crowd

Race 2 –

8- Malibu’smostwanted (2/1 ML) the Maker barn is hitting 36% second off the claim and Saez gets the ride today

9- Geo Niko (8/1 ML) making his fourth career start this one drops to the lowest level he has seen and is making his second start off a two month layoff (26% for Jerkens barn)

5- King J (5/1 ML) making his second start for the red hot Navarro barn and trying the turf for the first time, this one may put it together today with a race under his belt

Race 3 –

4- Blast (5/2 ML) making only her third career start, Castellano gets the ride off a four month layoff for a filly who started her career with a win and followed that up with a second place finish at this level

3- Summer Reading (2/1 ML) was the beaten favorite last out here on the turf and is moving back to the dirt where she put up a 97 on January 17th at 7f, could go wire-to-wire

1- Hola Charlotte (6/1 ML) stepping up after breaking maiden last out, retains Leparoux in the irons and had a quick 4f work on February 26

Race 4 –

5- Class and Cash (2/1 ML) class dropper is adding blinkers today for the Plesa barn (23%) and is making his third start off a layoff. Paco Lopez has hit the board all three previous rides on this one.

4- I Feel Great (3/1 ML) Castellano in the irons for this one who has hit the board in 8 out 10 over the Gulfstream surface including runner-up finishes in his past two here.

9- Lakota Warrior (4/1 ML) stamina has been an issue for this one who likes to race on the lead, but he should appreciate the weaker competition on today’s drop

Race 5-

7- Pathos (3/1 ML) steps up in class today after breaking her maiden last out at this distance, Navarro barn is hitting at a 31% rate in claiming races

4- One June (4/1 ML) shipping in from Fairgrounds after a four month layoff for the Petro barn, this one hit the board in her past two outings and is moving back to sprint distance which should favor her early speed

5- Whisperonthestreet (9/2 ML) trying dirt again today while dropping, recent works indicate she’s ready
Race 6-

3- Favorite Heir (9/5 ML) seeing this level for the first time as Castellano climbs aboard, this one hasn’t been able to hold a lead throughout his short career

1- Pomme d’Or (4/1 ML) making his second start on the turf for the Nicks barn (37%) this colt hasn’t figured things out yet but raced near the front in turf debut before fading

10- Ten Guitars (5/1 ML) a cutback in distance could benefit this colt who hasn’t shown the ability to finish hard when running routes

Race 7-

4- Tale of Fancy (5/2 ML) closed late last timeout and Castellano returns to ride again so experience is on our side today with this one who hasn’t found the right level yet

2- Planet (3/1 ML) adding blinkers today for this one who has yet to win but has hit the board in three of four career starts

9- Senor Casanova (8/1 ML) making the drop from maiden to maiden claiming today for the Clement barn (28%) either this one is ready, or they are looking to recoup some of their investment in this son of Medaglia d’Oro

Race 8-

6- Natalie La Rose (6/5 ML) two starts, two easy wins for this one who is making her second start for the Petro barn with Jaramillo in the irons

8- In Action (5/1 ML) this one was beaten by our other two selections in this race in her two most recent outings, but the addition of Castellano should help

9- Hissy Fit (9/2 ML) stepping up in class after winning last out, this filly is making her third start off the layoff for the Plesa barn (22%)

Race 9-

2- Zeta Zody (3/1 ML) Maker barn ships this one in from Fairgrounds after a two month layoff and puts Castellano aboard. Hit the exacta in 6 of her 7 races in 2015 against better competition

11- One Penny Piece (10/1 ML) returns from an 11 month layoff for a low percentage barn, but this one has hit the board in 5 of 6 starts at Gulfstream

9- L.A. Style (6/1 ML) this one won twice here late last summer with Gallafione aboard before a tiring in a return from layoff in December. Finished fourth here in January, which may have just been a prep for today’s race.

Race 10-

3- Ruffalex (5/1 ML) broke his maiden last out, and has hit the board in all six career starts, this one is fast enough to beat this field

6- Bettarun Realfast (3/1 ML) this one better run real fast to keep up with Ruffalex, hit the board in both of his previous dirt starts here

4- Sharp Valor (8/1 ML) second off the layoff, this one slowed down the stretch in his first start back off the layoff but has had two sharp works since that outing

Race 11-

3- Reagan’s Odyssey (7/2 ML) First off the claim (21%) for the Vitali barn on February 13th, this one hit the board in five previous starts , including two wins prior to a poor performance last out

7- Angel of Love (10/1 ML) won last out and has two wins in 7 career starts over a firm Gulfstream surface, there are no standouts in this field and this one may appreciate the shorter distance today

8- Yarmorka (5/1 ML) second off the claim for the Dibona barn this one gets 7 1/2 f today and she finished second last out at that distance over this course
