Meet the new guys! The Kentucky Derby field (and the Louisville weather) didn’t pose much of a challenge to Justify, so we’re looking at a new crop of challengers at the Preakness. At the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, Justify is the -275 favorite and followed by Good Magic at +350.  The next up in the odds line is Quip (18/1) and Diamond King (20/1). Finally you will find Sporting Chance (25/1) and Tenfold (30/1). All of the aforementioned will be in the Preakness after not racing at Churchill Downs.  2018 Preakness Odds.

Justify broke the Curse of Apollo by winning the Kentucky Derby after not racing as a 2-year-old. Now, history might actually be on his side. All four of Bob Baffert’s previous Kentucky Derby winners have gone on to win the Preakness. If you were impressed by Good Magic’s trip in the Derby and think he can make another run at Justify, consider this: Over the last 50 years, the Kentucky Derby runner-up has won the Preakness only three times.
